Who we are

This policy explains how Eynsham House Ltd (trading as Eynsham House Commercial Finance) collects and uses your personal information when you visit this website, get in touch with us, or use our commercial finance broking services.

Eynsham House Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 11620860, with its registered office at 77 Witney Road, Eynsham, Witney, OX29 4PN. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

Eynsham House Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Swoop Finance Limited (FRN: 936513), which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker. Swoop Finance Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO reference number: ZA600162).

What we collect

  • ‣ Contact details — your name, email address, phone number and business name when you complete a form or contact us.
  • ‣ Enquiry details — the type of funding you're interested in and anything you tell us in your message.
  • ‣ Business and financial information — if you go on to work with us, details about your business, its finances, its directors and shareholders, assets or property, and the funding you need. This can include identity and verification documents.
  • ‣ Correspondence — records of emails, calls and meetings with you, including any complaint you make.
  • ‣ Technical data — basic information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider records to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

  • ‣ To respond to your enquiry and talk to you about your funding options — our legitimate interest in answering a request you've made, and taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
  • ‣ To provide our broking service — assessing your situation, preparing your funding application and presenting it to lenders — to perform our agreement with you.
  • ‣ To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including FCA rules, anti-money-laundering checks, record keeping and handling complaints — legal obligation.
  • ‣ To send you funding insights or updates — only with your consent, or where you're an existing business contact and haven't opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • ‣ To run and protect this website — our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working properly.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to, with:

  • ‣ Lenders and finance providers on our panel, when you ask us to approach them on your behalf. Each lender will use your information under its own privacy notice, which may include credit and fraud-prevention checks.
  • ‣ Swoop Finance Limited, our principal firm, for regulatory oversight, compliance monitoring and complaint handling.
  • ‣ Service providers who host this website, handle our forms, and run our email and customer records systems, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • ‣ Professional advisers, regulators and authorities, such as the FCA, the Financial Ombudsman Service or law enforcement, where we're required or permitted to by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of our service providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure your information is protected by an adequacy decision or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiries that don't go further are deleted once they're no longer needed. Where we've provided our broking service, we keep records for as long as regulation, anti-money-laundering rules and the time limits for legal claims require, then securely delete or anonymise them.

Cookies

This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce them, we'll ask for your consent before setting any that aren't strictly necessary, and update this policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ‣ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ‣ask us to correct information that's wrong or incomplete
  • ‣ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it
  • ‣object to us using it, including for marketing at any time
  • ‣withdraw consent where we rely on it
  • ‣ask us to transfer it to another organisation

Some of these rights don't apply in every case — for example, we may need to keep records to meet regulatory requirements. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
